Visited this Plantation recently, and was very pleasantly surprised to find an absolutely unspoiled site with no intruding modern ugliness. Located on a dirt road, there are no power lines, billboards, or any other reminders of the modern world and it is very easy to imagine what life might have been like when this was a working farm. The house itself is highly scenic well-preserved, and the grounds are populated with wonderful ancient trees. There are modern bathrooms on site, and and Park Rangers. The interior of the house was not accessible, but there is plenty to see outside. No admission fee. Very romantic.

It was great experience. Very informative about the people who have lived there. It was beautiful

The tour was excellent, the guide very knowledgeable. The home is what you'd expect a 19th century plantation to look like. Slave quarters and stables well preserved with great artifacts within. And the tour was a steal at 7.50 a person.

We arrived on a Tuesday, normally they don't run tours on Tuesday but they decided with the extra people traffic on the Eclipse weekend and week they would run. The maintenance man gave a small group a tour of the 1st floor. They were doing maintenance on the second floor and he had to mow another 20 acres. He was a great guide and the place is very well kept. Not far from Augusta and worth a trip.

Took my dog here and had lunch with my girlfriend. It was very interesting to learn about all the history, and the grounds are well kept. Didn't manage to do the house tour, but we plan on going back without the dog sometime soon.
